Have you ever felt like the week just took forever? Well I think that we should have a free day like at the middle of every week. Just a day to relax, and not do any work, just to cool down and get rid of all the weekly stress from tests and homework. This would be helpful because the schools would be more relaxed, and could have better grades throughout all of the classes. It would also reduce the chances of not having homework done.
If for one day we would just take one day off, I think that it would be just perfect. If that one day was a Wednesday of every school week, it would it would turn out good, and then the first two days could be about notes, class work, and projects. Then after the relax period would come the tests and quizzes. I believe this is the best way to go, because after the weekend most children do not look forward to going back to a five-day week.
If every school would do it this way, the grades would be higher then normal, because the tests and quizzes come after the relax period, so the children would either have more time to study or just be relaxed and more focused. I believe that this would work, because even I get stressed out around mid week, then it just seems like everything falls comes at one time. This could not be good at the same time though, because this means that all the classes would have the tests and quizzes the same day, but also they would have a free day to do whatever.
This free day also has a big affect on homework as well, mostly because the homework that would normally be due Wednesday, would be Thursday, so they would have an extra day to work on their homework. This is good because they would do it the day it was due, then the next day, after they get it off their minds they can look over it again, incase they made errors.
So I really do believe that this mid week free day would work out just fine. I mean what kid wants to do work 5 days a week for like 7 hours a day? Once they get older the will be working that much, if not longer, so let them have a free day to relax and cool down. It might just be the best thing that will ever happen for children in high school.
